Your
diet analysis is based on your food intake
over a 3 day period. Follow the instructions
below to enter your intake and then use our
online form to enter your information (see
below).
|
 |
| It
is essential that you include everything you
eat and drink during this 3 day period. The
following are some general guidelines to estimate
the serving sizes. |
- Keep track of everything
you eat and drink for 3 days. Ideally
2 weekdays and 1 weekend day
- Record immediately after
eating in complete detail -the more specific
you are, the more accurate your diet analysis
will be. Include:
- The method of preperation
(boiled, fried, baked, steamed,
canned, frozen, etc)
- Type of food (whole
milk, chedder cheese, skinless chicken,
whole wheat breat, etc)
- All condiments (ketchup,
butter, mustard, cream in coffee, etc)
and brand names if possible.
- When recording restaurant
foods include the restaurant and the
menu item (Ex: 'Starbucks non-fat
grande mocha', 'Round Table pepporini
pizza', 'Taco Bell bean and cheese burrito',
etc.)
- Estimate the serving
size by
- Using measuring cups
or spoons (Ex: 1 cup cereal)
- By weight (Ex:
4 ounces chicken or 28 grams crackers)
- By unit (1 apple,
1 slice of bread, 1 cookie).
- To help you, use the
following tips to estimate measurements.
